Overtly Dramatic

What is Overtly Dramatic? It's a podcast giving YOU a behind the scenes look at creating an AUDIO DRAMA

What's an AUDIO DRAMA and why do you keep capitalizing it?

Audio Dramas (also known as Radio Drama, Audio Play, Radio Play, and a few other things) are purely audio dramatic presentations. Think like your television broke and you could only HEAR your favorite show. Or imagine if you fell into a wormhole and were transported back in time to when families would gather around the radio to listen to their favorite serials. And I capitalize it because I'm being... Overtly Dramatic.

What should I expect?

You SHOULD expect a lot, but I would temper that enthusiasm and plan to expect maybe a little less. Who knows? I guess we'll find out together!

What do you mean by "behind the scenes"?

I'm cooking up a couple AUDIO DRAMAS and I want to bring you along for the ride. I will show you my process for creating the story, recording and engineering the audio (and what that means), and publishing the finished work. I'll go in depth on the equipment and software I'm using. I'm new to this, so I will be learning as you do. Hopefully my learning will be at least a little ahead of yours or we might find ourselves in a bind.

When, where and how?

As soon as I get something going, expect information to magically appear on this page telling you the actual name of the podcast to look for in your favorite podcast directory. By "favorite podcast directory", I mean Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Anchor, Spotify, and others. My aim is to release new episodes weekly.
